About Your Facilitator – Sue Davey
Sue Davey, CPA, GAICD, is a highly respected educator, strategic advisor, leadership coach, and board director with over 25 years of executive leadership experience across finance, higher education, professional services, and purpose-driven sectors. As a CPA and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Sue brings deep expertise in financial strategy, governance, taxation, organisational performance, and ethical leadership.
Sue has held CFO and executive leadership roles, as well as appointments as Non-Executive Director and Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk Committees across several organisations. She is renowned for making complex topics clear and practical, particularly in areas such as capital gains tax (CGT), financial reporting, strategic leadership and business transformation.
In addition to her executive background, Sue is an experienced MBA lecturer and Certified Executive Coach, known for delivering engaging and results-driven learning experiences. She has taught postgraduate courses in taxation, governance, finance, strategy, and leadership across multiple global Universities, and is passionate about empowering professionals through accessible, high-impact education.
Sue developed this CPD course to provide practical, case-based guidance on CGT and deceased estates, drawing on both technical knowledge and her extensive experience advising clients, boards, and fellow professionals on complex taxation scenarios.
