Australian Individual Tax Returns Fundamentals

About This Course

Statistical evidence shows that tax agents lodge over 70 per cent of Australians’ tax returns. Taxpayers tend to have the belief that lodging the tax return through a tax agent will save them more or will help them increase their refund. However, this is only true at some aspects. The bottom line is that no tax agent can boost taxpayers’ refund if the taxpayers do not maintain a good record of what have been spent for the income-earning purposes.

In this course, I will introduce you to the fundamental principles of Australian taxation system for individual taxpayers. It’s more transparent than what taxpayers would think of. More details of how to claim specific deductions or how to report each income item will be discussed in the later courses.
